Keeping Children Safe
At Church Aston Infant School we take our responsibility to safeguard children very seriously. We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead who attend regular training and updates to ensure that we are always up to date with best practice. All of our staff also attend training to ensure they are knowledgeable regarding safeguarding concerns and are able to respond appropriately. Our staff work closely together to ensure the culture of safeguarding is effective within our school.
We subscribe to a secure system called CPOMS which effectively records and stores all of our information around safeguarding and concerns raised by staff, parents, children and governors. We also work closely with professionals in the local authority when appropriate.
Designated Safeguarding Leads
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Sarah Pitt, Headteacher.
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Sharon Powell, Class 2 Teacher.
You are always welcome to discuss any safeguarding concerns with one of our Safeguarding Leads or a member of staff.

Online Safety
In a digital world we value the role the internet can have in teaching and learning both in school and at home. As part of this we also recognise the importance of educating our pupils and helping to keep them safe online.
We have a number of filtering and monitoring measures in place, our system security is provided by Telford and Wrekin and is reviewed regularly in order to help safeguard our pupils from unsuitable material.
Please see the links to online safety guidance below and look out for our Online Safety sessions for parents during the year. The links from our most recent Online Safety training session for parents are available on the link below.
