The Year 2's had a wonderful time at Forest School. They made bird feeders, played on the tree swings, climbed trees, dug holes and enjoyed a hot chocolate around the fire.

Class 2 had a visit from I.T Professional Mr Gerrie who worked with the  children on developing their I.T skills. they talked about gaining permission before taking photos, how to take a good photo and think about the orientation. We discussed if all photos online were real and then looked at how we could edit photos and change them. The children took photos, changed the colours and added text.  

In Geography we have been learning about features of our world and finding out about the 5 oceans and 7 continents. We had a great game of Earth twister.

In Science we have been looking at various food and sorting these into different groups.

Our topic in R.E is 'I am Special' and we discussed how we can be made to feel special and build up our confidence. We all wrote bricks with positive compliments and encouragements and went on to build a 'build me up wall'.

In Music we have been enjoying finding out about 'Duration' long and short notes and creating our own scores, we then used different instruments to play them.

We enjoyed a morning finding out about Diwali. We made Rangoli patterns, Mendi hand art and diva lights. We enjoyed the story of Rama and Sita and created a large firework piece of art outside.
