We set up an Easter Bunny obstacle course. We had great fun hopping about.

We have been learning all about wool, and where it comes from. We got to look at lots of different wool and then went on to make a tri colour felt tile.

Animal Visit to School
We had a wonderful afternoon seeing some amazing animals and enjoyed finding out lots of interesting facts.
Science
In Science we sorted animals into groups.
We learned about collecting data on a Tally chart in computing this week to collect data.
We received more wonderful ships to school this week in school.
Class 1 enjoyed lots of Valentines themed activities this week.

Year 1's made a star of David from the story of David and the Goliath.
Year 1's used equipment to make tens and ten ones.
Class 1 designed boats in Design and Technology and then tested them to see if they would sink or float.
Geography
We used the globe to look at oceans and continents.
Ship Building
We loved seeing the ships and treasure maps you have been working on at home. We have been very impressed indeed!
Ships Ahoy!
We found a treasure map and followed it. At the end we found a treasure chest with lots of treasure inside.
BSL
Year 1 children have been learning some British Sign Language.
Science
We continued to investigate a variety of materials. We made predictions on what we thought would float or sink. We then tested these materials to see and record the results.
Year 1 children programmed Beebots to move then in a variety of directions to reach destinations. The Year 1 children then went on to demonstrate how to use the Beebots and they all got to to have a go.

We have been investigating a variety of different materials. We sorted numerous different objects by their properties.
Snow Play
Our first day back to school and we had snow. We enjoyed a bit of fun in the making snowballs, snow angels and playing with the snow.
